The Rotech Fabrication workshop is one of the largest and comprehensively equipped in Aberdeen. With two 10 tonne and two 5 tonne cranes and 15,000 square feet of workshop area the facility is well placed to handle even the largest components. Riser/Caisson sections up to 95 feet and weights of up to 50 tonnes have been constructed in the workshop.
The level of equipment available to the workforce ensures that the most demanding projects can be executed efficiently and on time, resulting in cost savings for all concerned.
Equipment: Rhodes shears together with a 70 tonne Piranha ironworker make light work of cutting, punching and bending operations. Lathes and machining centres are also available for a wide variety of tasks. Sub-arc welding is used extensively in both the carbon and exotic materials workshop.
Rotech Fabrication utilises dimensional control survey equipment (using ML-CAD Autofix Survey System), and can work to tight tolerances of 0.5mm.
