At Rotech Subsea, we operate on offshore projects around the globe, with a proven track record of over 600 successful campaigns — and counting. Our Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) spreads have evolved from concept to industry benchmark.
Speaking of that concept… let’s rewind 10 years.
In 2015, Rotech Subsea launched a bold new chapter — Rotech 2.0 — bringing our innovative Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) technology to the offshore market. We weren’t just introducing new tools — we were changing the way subsea excavation and trenching was done.
That same year, one of our very first CFE campaigns was at the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. One of the world’s largest offshore wind farms, Gwynt y Môr had just been officially inaugurated after completing construction in June 2015 — and we were trusted to deliver critical export cable deburial and post-trenching works at the brand-new site, using our CFE technology.
Fast forward a decade, and Gwynt y Môr remains a landmark in our journey. In 2024, we returned to the site with N-Sea for another cable deburial scope. And now, in summer 2025, we’re proud to announce we’ll be back at Gwynt y Môr once again — for another collaboration with N-Sea.
While a lot has changed and grown since our first scope at Gwynt y Môr, the foundations we built this company on remain rock solid — and they’ve been instrumental in getting us to where we are today.
What’s never changed is how we work: we design every tool in-house, fabricate every component ourselves, and build, test, mobilise, and operate everything under our own roof. That level of end-to-end control is a core part of our DNA — and a key reason clients continue to trust us project after project.
Over the last 10 years, one thing has become increasingly clear to our clients: we don’t do shortcuts — we deliver long-term results. More than once, we’ve been called in after a quick fix failed offshore, costing both time and money. Our approach is different. We provide cutting-edge subsea solutions grounded in innovation, not imitation. Because expertise can’t be replicated — it has to be earned.
If you value doing things right the first time, with proven technology and dependable results, then Rotech Subsea is exactly who you’re looking for.
So, you see — returning to Gwynt y Môr in 2025 isn’t just another project for us. It’s a full-circle moment, a testament to our journey, and a reminder of what makes us who we are.
